  • Overview

    The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator assists with all aspects of the building facilities and reports to the Facility Manager. The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and ensuring safety of facilities and equipment.





    • Ensure that all centers are well maintained and provide an effective, safe, clean and economical work environment
    • Interact with center staff, vendors, contractors, city officials and FAC leadership to determine the required needs of each center
    • Assist with the managing on-site construction and critical system projects along with providing written documentation of project status
    • Assist in maintaining effective productive vendor relationships
    • Participate in selection of furniture, fixtures and equipment to maintain both existing and new centers
    • Coordinate all building premise repair and maintenance activities (including scheduled preventive maintenance. Monitors work progress and quality to ensure satisfactory completion
    • Assist in the organization and maintenance of phone systems at each of the centers
    • Work closely with IT vendor to assure internet services and computer needs of each center are met and maintained


    • 3-5 years of experience in supporting facility operations and management
    • Thorough knowledge of facilities and safety practices and procedure
    • Excellent telephone, communication and interpersonal skills
    • Must have extensive knowledge of software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
    • Able to handle sensitive, complex and very confidential information


    Physical Demands:

    • Must be able to lift and stack objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and frequently exert 10 to 20 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects
    • Work involves frequent periods of standing and walking, which may include climbing ladders and staircases
    • Work involves stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting/turning and reaching; bending at the waist.
    • Majority of duties are performed indoors; sometimes the position will require being outdoors in FL weather conditions
    • Driving will be part of this role; sitting for long periods of time and dealing with heavy traffic and travel issues
    • Must be able to perceive the nature of sound, utilize near and far vision, depth perception, and provide oral information
